Applications are invited from students normally resident in the United Kingdom who wish to undertake a higher degree at an Australian university for a period of up to three years. Applicants must ascertain their eligibility for an Australian graduate programme. There are no limitations as the field of study. The scholarship will provide

- payments of compulsory fees at an Australian university

USA: Postdoctoral Earth and Planetary Sciences Fellowship
The National Air and Space Museum has established the Postdoctoral Earthand Planetary Sciences Fellowship to support scientific research in thisarea. Scientists in the Center for Earth and Planetary Studiesconcentrate on geologic and geophysical research of the Earth and otherterrestrial planets, using remote sensing data obtained fromEarth-orbiting and interplanetary spacecraft. Research also focuses onglobal environmental change.
Appointments can be made for one or more years. Stipends are compatiblewith NRC postdoctoral fellowships in the applicant’s field.

The successful candidate will work with world-leading faculty in Computer Science and Human Genetics to pioneer novel computational solutions to leading problems in statistical, population, and human genetics (http://www.genes.uchicago.edu). Postdoctoral Scholar in Mathematical Modeling and 3D Imaging, University of Wisconsin, USA
You will be working with the PI on a couple of biomedicine-related projects using 3D imaging data and PDE-based numerical simulation. One such example is to model the cardiac cell contraction using electron microscopic images and finite element methods.
Ideal candidates should have strong background in mathematical modeling and numerical analysis. Knowledge of 3D biomedical imaging and image analysis is a plus. Basic programming skills such as C/C++ are required.

Brisbane Graduate School of Business (BGSB) offers a small number of scholarships for superior applicants from all countries commencing in the Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Business Administration (Major) and Graduate Certificate in Business Administration programs.
The scholarships are based on GMAT score and/or the total number of points you are awarded from the following tables. At the discretion of the MBA Director, one additional point may be awarded for each of the following: possession of a Masters degree; possession of a Doctoral degree; substantial employment experience at a high level of managerial responsibility; and/or employment experience with a global firm or organization.

Scholarships for attendance of a PhD program in Business Administration, University of Bologna
The PhD program in Business Administration of the University of Bologna trains brilliant researchers in the fields of management, by offering courses in several areas such as organization theory, business strategy, marketing, technology and innovation management, research methods, statistics, econometrics. In addition to the courses, PhD students have the opportunity to attend seminars held by internationally renowned scholars, present their work at conferences, spend a research period of at least 6 months in foreign academic institutions. The PhD in Business Administration (3-year program) is organized by the Department of Management of the University of Bologna (www.sa.unibo.it), in cooperation with the University LUISS Guido Carli of Rome and the University of Modena and Reggio Emilia.
In order to apply, a Master degree (laurea specialistica/magistrale) is required. The 2008 edition of the PhD in Business Administration (23rd cycle) will start in January 2008. 12 students will be admitted to the program and 6 scholarships will be offered. The number of scholarship-assisted places may increase thanks to the financial support of public or private institutions. The net amount of the scholarship is 826 Euro per month, for a 3-year period. The amount of the scholarship can increase during the research period spent abroad (+50%) and through assistantships in teaching or contract research activities.
